Einhell continues to invest in the future: New office building at headquarters in Landau
Since being founded in 1964, Einhell Germany AG has gone on to become an international conglomerate that is still strongly rooted in Lower Bavaria. To enable it to meet the requirements of the modern age even better in the future as well, the company is investing extensively in the company’s head office in Landau. The construction of a new, modern office building, creating 180 jobs, is yet another milestone in the company's history. Work began on the major construction project April 2023. It is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2024.
International success with regional roots
As a dynamic, forward-looking company, Einhell Germany AG is continuing its growth path. Having already achieved a long-term goal by crossing the billion-euro threshold in sales at the end of 2022, the Einhell Group is now taking on another key challenge. The expansion of the Group’s headquarters in Landau an der Isar is a response to the company’s growth and the rising number of employees, and marks an important milestone in the further trajectory of the company.
The new, four-story office block covers a surface area of 1,200 square meters and is based on the design of Einhell World, which was opened back in 2019. It will create space for 180 jobs and feature a large number of offices and conference rooms equipped with the latest technology. The building’s design aims to offer staff a pleasant and productive work environment. At the back, a contemporary, covered steel bridge provides a connection to with the existing areas.
“We want to create an atmosphere for our workforce in which everyone feels comfortable and that helps them work together to drive the development of our company,” says Jan Teichert, CFO, who is responsible for the construction.
The new building will marry impressive architecture and modern design with functionality and sustainability. The extensive glass facades and wood elements will ensure plenty of natural light. In implementing a large number of measures, such as the use of heat pumps heating and cooling ceilings, and installing a photovoltaic system on the landscaped roof surface, Einhell is seeking to achieve the Gold Standard of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB). One of the highlights will be the cutting-edge fitness studio, where health and fitness classes will be among those offered for the benefit and well-being of the staff. The large adjacent terrace will also be available to all workers.
The new building is scheduled to be completed at the end of 2024.
