Andreas Kroiss
Chairman of the Board of directors since January 1st, 2003Andreas Kroiss took over as chief executive officer of the Austrian subsidiary under difficult circumstances on June 1st, 1998. He was then a sales professional and performed his assigned duties in an outstanding fashion. His innovative ideas and great commitment enabled him to transform Einhell Austria into a high growth company
Following the success that he had in Austria, the parent company appointed Andreas Kroiss to the Board of directors on March 1st 2001 and gave him the position as head of the Tools business unit. Andreas Kroiss has been chairman of the Board of directors since January 1st, 2003.
Dr. Markus Thannhuber
Chief Technical Officer since January 1st, 2007After studying physics at the University of Applied Sciences in Munich where he specialized in quantum optics, Dr. Markus Thannhuber worked as a research assistant at the Fraunhofer Institut IAO in Stuttgart and then at the Institute for Human Factors and Technology Management (IAT) at the University of Stuttgart.
He later worked as a researcher in the Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management Department (IEEM) at Hongkong University of Science and Technology.
He received his doctorate in 2003 under Prof. Bullinger, past President of the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft, for his work on system and organization theory. “The Intelligent Enterprise” (ISBN 3-7908-1555-1) was published in 2004.
Dr. Christoph Urban
Chief IT & Service Officer since July 1st, 2019Dr. Christoph Urban completed his studies of computer science with a minor in economics at the University of Passau and a doctorate in the Chair of Operations Research and Systems Theory of Science.
Dr. Urban has been a senior executive in the Einhell Group since 2002. Since 2005, he has been responsible for IT in the Group. On April 1, 2014, Mr. Dr Urban was appointed as Managing Director of iSC GmbH.
Dr. Christoph Urban was appointed to the Executive Board IT and Service on 01.07.2019 and is responsible for the group's new division Digital Organization and the further development and expansion of international service structures.
Heinz Hoffmann
Chief International Officer since January 1st, 2026Heinz Hoffmann has been working for Einhell since 2008—with a brief interruption—and previously served as Head of Division responsible for managing subsidiaries and M&A projects. He built up Group Management in the areas of Sales, Operations, and Finance, established efficient management and reporting processes, and played a key role in driving the company’s global expansion.
In his new role, he is responsible for the International division and thus for the global management of the subsidiaries as well as the further expansion of the Einhell Group.
Michael Brunner
Chief Financial Officer since January 1st, 2026Michael Brunner began his professional career at a Big Four auditing firm in Munich. There, he worked for several years on statutory audits and audits of internal control systems for DAX-listed corporations and large family-owned companies, most recently as an audit manager.
Since 2016, he has been working in the finance department of Einhell Germany AG. He established the Internal Audit function and was involved in numerous projects in the areas of internal control systems (ICS) and treasury. In 2021, Michael Brunner assumed responsibility for Head of Domestic Controlling. On 01/01/2025, he was appointed Managing Director of iSC GmbH, where he supports executive management in all commercial and financial matters.
