The Einhell Share
The Ukrainian war and rising interest rates weighed on the stock markets in 2022.
The stock market year was characterized by partially massive losses. The Ukrainian war, high inflation rates, strongly rising interest rates, energy shortages, and fears of recession unsettled investors. However, 2022 had started well for investors. The German leading index DAX reached its annual high of 16,272 points in early January before sliding triggered by the Ukrainian war and the massively rising interest rates. By the end of the year, the DAX recovered to 13,924 points but closed 2022 with a loss of 12.3%.
