Einhell appoints two new members to the Board of Directors
The Supervisory Board of Einhell Germany AG intends to appoint Michael Brunner and Heinz Hoffmann as new members of the Board of Directors effective 1 January 2026. This follows the announcement by Chief Financial Officer Jan Teichert of his decision to step down at the end of the year. With this move, the power tool manufacturer is taking early steps to ensure a smooth transition in leadership while continuing to rely on continuity and internal expertise.
Michael Brunner will take over responsibility for the Finance division, while Heinz Hoffmann will assume the role of the International Department. Both appointments will be for a period of three years and are part of the planned succession for long-standing CFO Jan Teichert, who will leave the Board after 23 years when his contract expires as scheduled. He will ensure an orderly handover through the end of 2025. With this forward-looking decision, Einhell guarantees continuity in financial management while reinforcing stability and reliability within the executive team.
Two experienced leaders from within the company
Michael Brunner (38) has been working in the Finance division under Jan Teichert since 2016. A graduate in business administration, he has extensive experience in auditing, internal audit, and controlling. As an authorised signatory, he currently heads Domestic Controlling and serves as Commercial Managing Director of subsidiary ISC GmbH. Brunner established the Internal Audit department at Einhell, contributed to numerous finance projects, and played a key role in the successful SAP implementation at the company’s Chinese subsidiaries.
Heinz Hoffmann (49), who holds a degree in business administration, has been with Einhell since 2008 – with a short break – working in both the finance division and the sales division under CEO Andreas Kroiss. As an authorised signatory, he currently oversees Investment Controlling and International Sales. Hoffmann built up the Investment Controlling department, advanced international sales support, and was involved in numerous M&A and expansion projects. His appointment to the Board underlines Einhell’s commitment to the continued internationalisation and global brand expansion of the company.
Continuity and international growth as guiding principles
“With Michael Brunner and Heinz Hoffmann, we are appointing two long-standing and highly networked executives who will consistently continue Einhell’s growth strategy in the areas of finance and internationalisation,” says Andreas Kroiss, CEO of Einhell Germany AG. “Both know the company, its structures, and its international markets inside out. Their appointment sends a strong signal of stability and continuity.”
